ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- The driver of a pickup on Blue Oaks Boulevard jammed the gas on a yellow light at Diamond Creek.
When the driver did that, a year-old pit bull, riding unsecured in the bed of the pick up flew out and hit the pavement.
According to the Placer SPCA the dog, named Tundra, after the truck she fell from, sustained cuts and scrapes, but was otherwise OK.
Placer SPCA has nursed Tundra back to health and is looking to place her with a new family.
It's the law to secure a dog in the bed of a pickup. The driver never stopped after Tundra fell out and was never found.
