Folsom Lake Rises Eight Feet

The water level at Folsom Lake rose at least 8 feet today, thanks to heavy rainfall that steadily fell throughout the region. Officials with the Department of Water Resources say Folsom Lake appeared to be 8 feet higher on Sunday afternoon than it did early Sunday morning.

Just last week, there was so little water flowing into the lake, it set a record. Today, water was flowing swiftly under Salmon Falls Bridge on the American River.
