Gov't Launches App to Help Find Child Predators

The feds have launched a new smartphone app to help find child predators. It's a digital wanted poster.

It comes from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and contains pictures, videos and other information on fugitives that agents are looking for, as well as a simple way for you to make a tip.

There's a button right on the home screen.

Carol Webster is a federal investigator here in Sacramento, and she hopes this Operation Predator App will help track those involved with child porn.

The app is the first of its kind to be used by the feds, and it's a free download. Right now, it is only available for the iPhone, but they would like to expand it to other platforms.
