A Missouri woman has been forced to go to court just to prove to her bank that she's still alive.
Kimberly Haman tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that both her bank and credit bureau declared her deceased nearly a year ago.
The 46-year-old has contacted both entities to prove that she's still very much alive, but they've yet to fix the mistake.
So Haman sued them last week, explaining that the error has prevented her from refinancing her mortgage twice.
The suit adds that she had reached a point where she was at a complete loss as to what else she could do to bring herself back from the dead.
